High energy is flowing through the African Hebrew Israelite Community with the influx of youth from all the community’s external jurisdictions, (i.e. Washington, D.C., Texas, Atlanta, etc.), who are here to enjoy the Youth on the Move (Y.O.M.) first International Youth Conference in Dimona, Israel. It is a unique and awesome energy from youth committed to Truth and growing in Yah’s laws, who desire to share their blessings with expressions of youthful joy and divine intellect.
Their gathering makes a strong statement that the cultural, educational and societal decline many youth worldwide are experiencing, is not just a given. These youth are fighting that deception and proving that with the right focus, environment and parental support, they are on their way back, ascending to stronger moral and cultural values and choosing more positive images.
The conference is in loving memory of a great soldier and servant leader, Ahkote Yovellah, and the inspiration, motivation and hope she always shared with the youth. “We want to celebrate her life and strive to be in her image; to be inspired to give back to our community and work to expand our kingdom institutions and ministries.”, says Yoyakeem ben Ben Kesed, the chairperson of the Y.O.M. Yoyakeem has been the chairperson for the past five years and this conference comes at the pinnacle of his leadership. He adds that the conference is the brainchild of the second chair, Tsifoonah baht Sar Elyashuv, and is meant to set the platform for building a connection between the youth in all our jurisdictions.
The youth have set to the task, beginning on July 29, 2012, enjoying seminars, viewing the African Edenic Heritage Museum, working on the community’s organic farm, and sharing fun times at banquets, (including a special solar cooked food display), swimming parties, sports events and a sacred visitation throughout the land of Israel. Their conference will conclude on August 7, 2012, which marks the 12th anniversary of the communities Marriage of the Lamb ceremony.
It is heartening to witness youth coming together for such positive aspirations at a time when youth worldwide are facing monumental challenges that threaten to rob them of their youth and reduce the quality of their lives. This first international youth conference for the Y.O.M. will prove to forge bonding friendships between the youth in all their jurisdictions and imprint upon their souls a positive image for them to aspire to, and share with all.

Yah Yahwah Quadosh Elohey Yisrael kodem.
It was such a Blessing to see our youth from our other jurisdictions, they had so much fun being at home, feeling free to be Youth, exchanging life sustaining experiances , with others; traveling through-out their land
the land of the Prophets where Melech Daveed ruled.
It was a Holy site to behold, watching them pray a prayer to the Yah of Abraham, Issac and Jacob, reconnecting
to their Divine Historical / Biblical Heritage.
In Abah Shaleak’s voice, “It Was Holy Baybies”!
It was enjoyable to watch for me as an adult, and very strengthening.
