A new entrepreneurial effort has sprung up in the Village of Peace, to encourage growing and eating organic food.

The Salad Bowl Garden is being produced by Devorah eshet Shmael who is the Deputy Minister of Divine Agriculture for the African Hebrew Israelites. Her vision is to provide lettuces and leafy greens for daily, organic salad consumption.

Lettuce and leafy greens grow abundantly in the winter season and the garden bowls are pre-planted by Deputy Minister Devorah, with organic seeds, so the buyer has only to care for the garden bowl, grow the greens and enjoy them in daily salads.

She sells the Salad Bowl Gardens in two sizes; a 55 cm round and a 65 cm round. She also offers to look at the buyers growing space and create adaptable versions in shape and size. As the buyer is growing the salad greens, she avails herself to house calls to make sure the process is smooth and successful.

This is something everyone can enjoy in the comfort of their home space. It gives Dimona residents the chance to develop their green thumbs and enjoy the spiritual and physical benefits of organic foods.
